The Bob Marley Museum

If you are a fan of Bob Marley and his music, this is a must place to visit.  The tour shows a very personal view of Bob’s life, and the history and philosophy of his music.  The one-hour tour also tells the story of Bob Marley’s life after he moved “uptown.” The museum is situated on the site of the legendary musician’s home, which he purchased in 1975.This house, featuring 19th-century architecture, was Marley’s home until his transition in 1981. It was converted into a museum six years later by his wife, Mrs Rita Marley. The main museum displays Marley’s personal treasures.

The Bob Marley Museum is located in the capital, Kingston and was Marley’s home until his death in 1981. It was also home to Tuff Gong record label that was founded by The Wailers back in the 1970s. The property also features a well-equipped 80-seat theatre, a photographic gallery, a record shop and a gift shop filled with a wide array of Bob Marley memorabilia. Today, the house is a famous tourist attraction, museum, and shrine.  HEY, you never know…you may run into one of his famous sons who often visit to use the studio!
